We celebrate St Patrick’s day. In Scotland they acknowledge St Andrew’s day. In Wales they nod towards St David’s day. And in England? .... St George's day is on April 23 and universally ignored.
We thought that we should do something about that and Gerry Colvin is coming along on the 25th to celebrate the best ideals of being English….welcoming, honesty, respect, compassion, courage, fair play, humour.
Gerry is well known for his support for the oppressed, he has played many benefit concerts in this area. Tonight he will be celebrating traditional and contemporary English songs and music with the help of a few friends. Come along and celebrate with us! It’s also Shakespeare’s birthday. And death day! So Shakespeare may also make an appearance!
This is no jingoistic event- You know it’s going to be a great evening – in the safe hands of Gerry Colvin!
There will be St George appropriate food for you so tickets for this event are a little more than usual. (Veggie/vegan/GF can be available -please let us know in advance please)
