Workshops at Rosslyn Court

Scratch Band

Every last Monday evening from 6.30 – 8.30 there is a Scratch Band session at Rosslyn Court led by James Kerry, band leader and writer of folk tunes. Everyone who plays any instrument is welcome; the session is friendly and informal. Each month a new tune is arranged by the group, led by James’ expertise but driven by musicians in the room. What chord will work? Let’s experiment with one or two and see! If you enjoy playing music with other people and like the idea of being part of a group creating different arrangements to tunes then this is the place for you. You don’t have to be able to read music. Very basic players can be useful in the band and will learn a lot from the sessions.
